After the demise of my Range Rover Classic I bought this Series III with the insurance money. After a long and noisey first drive home from Redditch I decided that sound proofing and
gearing was to be the first thing I tackled. So after spending what the wife called "to much" on carpet I went on every mans favourite shop E-Bay for sound deadening. After a weekend of cutting and spray glueing it was all carpeted- floor, walls, doors and roof, which made it possible to talk to passengers instead of shouting and as it turned out eliminated some of the draft's (hey it is Series).

I then sourced some Range Rover Classic diff's after breaking a classic down for scrap and after
two weekends of bashed knuckles and swearing it was complete and runningsmoother, faster and more fuel efficent.

I have also made a made a centre console to fit in a car stereo (i know going up in the
world), a 12v socket and some switches for various things yet to be done. That fit where the
centre seat was located There is a long list of little jobs to do and I would like to overhaul the engine, fit a reversing light, interior lights. etc... I just think I will leave out about the cost to she who should be obeyed!
