Defender 130
This is my Defender 130 the vehicle was previously owned by united utilities as seen in the photo it was fitted with a box body, I wanted to convert the vehicle to something far more suitable to my work and hobbies. I have fitted a hydraulic driven PTO which powers the front winch the log splitter and breaker. I got a local agricultural engineer to fabricate the toolbox and ladder rack to custom fit the gap between the cab and the 110 Hicap body. I have also had Hazard markings fitted to the rear of the vehicle inline with guidance for working on the public highway. You will also see that I have rather a lot of lights these serve two purposes a large number of them are amber to help with visibility when working at the roadside and the spotlights are either to light a working area or to help see where I’m going! I use my landy for everything from helping mates move furniture to carting logs for the fire or dragging various pieces of plant and machinery around the county! As for future plans well watch this space there are numerous wacky hydraulic plans on the drawing board and possibly even a crew cab conversion who knows, and would I swap it for another defender? No never this the work horse of my life in two years we have clocked up 37000 miles together!
