Petanque - A Club Social Evening

One summers evening in late June saw our return to the White hart in Quorn for another evening of “Psycho Marbles”.

We managed enough member and friends to field 4 teams with subs. As per usual there was much heckling from the sides and far too much attention to detail when it came to measuring the distances to find the winner - tape measures at the ready!!

We've Moved!

Due to a recent increase in the number of club members we have out grown our current meeting place of the Anchor Inn, Hathern. But don't worry we've not moved far, as from Thursday August 6th all Loughborough Land Rover Club monthly meets will take place at The Kings Arms, Hathern (MAP).

Not only does the new venue mean that we'll have move space for even more members but the Kings Arms also currently has a range of deals on offer, including to-for-one on meals, so it's cheaper too!

Kedleston Hall Cancer Research 10K Race

Now then, no doubt your probably sat there thinking what’s a 10k run got to do with Land rovers well to be fair I think we all thought that when Tim sat at Club night and read out an email from Esther at CRUK requesting our assistance. Tim almost got shot down in flames as we began to panic he wanted us to run! But no it turned out CRUK needed our help to lay out and marshal the course.
